Walter Taylor Ward 2015/16 Budget Newsletter

The 2015/16 Budget focuses on delivering safer and smoother suburban roads and this year includes a 66% boost to funding for a total of $100 million for road resurfacing.

Our local area will benefit significantly with over $2.5 million allocated to local road resurfacing including:

• Cabramurra Street Chapel Hill

• Carmody Road St Lucia

• Cougar Street Indooroopilly

• Dampier Street Taringa

• Kimba Street Chapel Hill

• Merrilyn Street Chapel Hill

• Moggill Road Taringa

• Musgrave Road Indooroopilly

• Praeger Street Chapel Hill

• Station Road Indooroopilly

• Warrawong Street Chapel Hill

This is on top of the $1.5 million in work completed last year which saw local streets resurfaced across the Ward. I have also secured funding for pedestrian safety improvements on Radnor Street, Indooroopilly, on Sir Fred Schonell Drive, St Lucia as well as major footpath upgrades in Fig Tree Pocket. Pedestrian safety will also be improved around Brigidine College, Indooroopilly, to assist students walking to school.

Attached is a comprehensive newsletter on what we are delivering for Walter Taylor Ward and greater Brisbane this financial year.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact me on (07) 3407 0005 or at waltertaylor.ward@bcc.qld.gov.au if I can be of assistance with any Council matter.
